Miley Cyrus on the Teen Choice Awards 2009
It is not a secret that man is forever and will be intrigued with controversies, and when man can’t find a legit one, he makes up controversies that he knows other people will find intriguing. That right there is a Worldly Quirk.
The target of yet another controversy today is Miley Cyrus, best known for her role as Miley Stewart a.k.a. Hannah Montana. I guess you know you’ve made it big when there are nasty stories about you. I wasn’t a fan of Miley until I saw Hannah Montana the Movie, and I realized how talented she really is an artist. She can sing, she can dance and she can act. Needless to say, I became a fan. I’ve read stories about Miley before, about her controversial picture taken by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz for Vanity Fair. Clearly she’s not naked and it was done with artistry in mind not porn or whatever.
About her rumored relationship with Jason Gaston who happens to be older than her. I mean what’s the big deal? My husband is 11 years older than I am, and people don’t find it weird at all because I am just an ordinary person, but just because Miley Cyrus is a celebrity they find it weird that she is dating an older man, and he’s only 6 years older, what’s the big deal?
Now, she is again facing another controversy, in which when you ask me, she is not at fault at all. She was accused of pole dancing at the Teen’s Choice Awards 2009. WTF? Where the hell did this stupid news come from? Watch the video below, it clearly shows that she wasn’t pole dancing.
See? Okay, so she danced down on the pole, and you consider that pole dancing? What the hell is wrong with you? Clearly she didn’t mean for it to come out like she was pole dancing. And F.Y.I. that pole was there more for safety reasons than for pole dancing reasons, I mean, you can clearly see that the cart was being pushed, and had the pole not been there, she would’ve have fallen and probably slammed her head hard on the floor. Come on people. Give the young lady a break! Stop looking for faults in this girl. I think she’s handling herself very well, she’s only 16 and she has to deal with a lot of things, and she manages to even smile even if people are trying all their very best to bring her down. If we really are concerned about what kind of role models are out there for our children, then we must not let our minds run away with us. Pole dancing indeed, I swear, the people who thought she was pole dancing saw only what they wanted to see and not what was actually happening. Tsk tsk..

I have nothing against her. In fact, I LOVED her in Hannah Montana: The Movie. 
Ane, I think people are making such a huge fuss about her dating the guy because she’s barely legal. I hate to read comments about her in YouTube and other websites. People can be so nasty!

Oh, don’t forget about all the big fuss about her nose and navel piercings. C’mon! Just because she’s a Christian, so she can’t pierce her body parts? It’s HER body, and it’s HER choice, right?
I totally agree with you Ane. There is nothing wrong with a girl that dates a older man. I am 10 years older than my wife and if she wants to get her body pierced that is her decision. She is turning into a beautiful young women and what she does with her life and her body is her decision. I think she is a very talented young lady and she is going to go far in her career. My only thing is she might want to think which way she wants to take her career. Is she going to stay the pure breed hanna montana sweet disney girl or is she going to start doing more mature things. Either way i think she is a great singer and great actress and like i said she is going to go far in that business. A excellent post her Ane you are a very talented writer yourself. The issue with her dating an older guy was because she was only 15 at the time.. so being barely legal can cause them both a lot of trouble if there were some woohoos going on y’know.. Well, that’s from my point of view. But if she’s older than that, then I don’t see the matter with dating an older guy as well.
Yeah, the pole dancing wasn’t pole dancing at all.. Poor miley!
But thing is about Miley, she needs to get a new stylist. Her stylist should really put her into more age-appropriate styles. She always comes out looking like she’s in her mid to late twenties.
